AUDITION GUIDELINES

 

We are now accepting applications for our 2025/26 season!

​

Requirements for submissions:

  • Resume (general training summary, DOB, full name, citizenship, contact and family address)

  • Headshot & Full body shots (arabesque and tendu a la seconde)

  • Video audition (see below)

  • *Email to inquire about auditioning in-person (a resume and requested photos are required before any invitation will be extended)

A full application is required for acceptance into: ACB Training Program

*Applicants for the Senior Division must be between ages 14-21 years by August 1, 2025, and Junior Division ages 11-13 (exceptions may be made on an individual basis)
 

 

VIDEO submission guidelines:

If you will be submitting a video audition please follow the guidelines below to the best of your ability.

​

  • Audition attire:

    • Women - dark leotard, pink tights, flat and pointe shoes 

    • Men - black tights, white shirt

    • *Video audition - do not include an introduction or any fancy editing

 

  • Barre work, up to 4 minutes with short combinations​

    • tendu, fondue, adagio, grand battements

      • Include only one side of each combination

  • Center Work, up to 4 minutes. 

    • adagio, pirouettes, small jumps, grand allegro 

      • Men to include:

        • Tours en l'air

      • Women to include:

        • Centre pointe work 

          • warm-up; echappés, retirés

          • pirouettes; en-dehors and en-dedans

          • diagonal of turning step

          • **JUINIOR applications please provide pointe at your level and experience

  • Optional:

    • classical variation

    • contemporary solo

*Merit-based scholarships and financial aid are limited for those who qualify.
